E' molto difficile essere amici di se stessi, trovare con le proprie forze la speranza e la capacità di reagire ad un torto, al malumore, a una giornata no, e saper scegliere e decidere una strada quando si è davanti a un bivio.

Essere amici di se stessi è un po' conoscere anche Dio, per chi ci crede, confrontare la propria vita con Lui, le proprie scelte e riconoscere che c'è qualcosa che non possiamo controllare ma solo indirizzare verso il bene. Una volta compiuto questo passo si può conquistare la possibilità di ascoltare, ma ancor prima scoprire gli altri."
